About Us

In 2003, one of my brothers asked me to program a simple food calculator for a college project of his. At the time, the only food calculator we could find was one produced by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It could run basic calculations to help you figure out how much bulk food to have on hand. So I made this little food calculator program for my brother and forgot about it—until a couple of years ago.

Having a wife and four children has made it more important to make sure our family keeps certain foods on hand, like flour, beans, rice, canned goods, toiletries etc. But because of the way life goes, I had to keep recalculating our inventory over and over. It was time consuming and boring, and I figured there just had to be a better way. Well, one day I came across that old food calculator program I had made for my brother and I also found some notes and ideas I had written about how to expand it.

I decided to dust off those old notes and start creating the system that I so desperately needed… a system that would easily allow me to track, update and view my food storage inventory while on the go, because my life isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. Hence E-FoodStorage.com was born.

I am excited to be a part of a community that believes in food storage and can share ideas, tips, recipes and deals that simplifies securing my family’s future.
